Yes I am a nerd! I started late Wednesday night and I have just finished the first two books in the Twilight series and later today I will be starting the third. Once I am hooked there is no hope. I received the book from one of my students. I happen to be in a book with her mom and she really wants the group to read this book. And Jackie keeps bothering me to read the books too so she can talk to me about them. I have to say that the first book was much better than the second. I found the second a bit weird, even though the series is about vampires. I have heard that the third is good like the first so I have my own opinion shortly. I do have to say that I am slightly annoyed at the words that Stephanie Meyer is a bit frustrating, who uses words like stymie (frustrate) and kismet (fate) and dither (highly nervous). And I hate to admit that I didn't know what those words meant, yes I looked them up in the dictionary (among others). It was by my side as I read. Though I can understand the book without looking up what the words mean, the teacher in me just won't allow me to do so. So sad I know.
This not having to work and not able to drive makes me stuck in my apartment so I have nothing to do but read (or watch tv - and I have had my fill). I am going to be sad when I have to go back to work next week, but I also get to go to the gym. Yes, I have to take it lightly, but I am still so excited to get back in there!

I am glad you are healing. I loved thsoe books by the way. I read them very quickly as once you get started you just can't stop. I am a Jacob fan, what about you. I really want to read her new book The Host, but haven't got my hands on it yet.
I agree with you on your review of the books thus far. The second kind of weirded me out a bit too, and i'm sorry to say that I felt even a little more weirded out by the third. I have decided I am not a Stephenie meyer fan, which bums me out because I LOVED Twilight.
Okay so I ready the first one yesterday (I loved the handwritten definitions btw). It was entertaining, a good "light" read so I went and got all three to keep for my collection (lol - my new collection). I'll let you know what I really think after I finish the next two which is the plan for the weekend. Thanks for spending the day with me .. I miss you often and love your company!
P.S. I'll send your book with my mom to be delivered to your mom.
Love ya
