Breaking Dawn

I finished this book yesterday. I basically read it one day - I didn't have to work. I am still deciding on how I feel about the book. There was a lot I liked about the book, but there were things that I so was not expecting so the jury is still out. I almost feel like I need to read the book again to really take it all in. I read it pretty fast (I am not a fast reader) so now that I know what happens I would like to be able to look at it from a new perspective. I feel like such a nerd saying all this. As my friend Emily wrote on her blog - Stephanie Meyer is not a great writer, but she is a good storyteller. The story of Bella is for what ever reason captivating.

Now that I have read all the books I have watched the preview for the Twilight movie. I did not want to see the preview until I had read all the books. I wanted the characters to stay the way they were in my head. I am glad that I did this - none of the characters really looked liked I imagined them. Edwards skin is not white enough nor is his voice correct. I am not going to to go into the others, but I am sure many of you can relate. Oh my gosh, I am such a nerd!!!

I deleted my last comment because I missed a few words typing too fast and my sentences wouldn't have made any sense at all!

YOU are not a nerd. I have neglected my entire household for two straight days and my husband for two straight nights!! I have about 150 pages left which I expect to finish here momentarily. I am liking that it isn't what I expected but more of what I "hoped" it would be if you know what I mean? lol

I agree about the movie (let's go together so we can be dissapointed together). Edward has "golden" hair in the book, hello!

Thanks for you cute comment on my blog.

Going to Yuba was about as last minute as things get for me. I'm not very spontaneous so I was a nervous wreck even deciding to go on such short notice. I'd told Des several times how I would like to get my kids together with theirs so I didn't want to not accept the invite ~ they would give up on inviting us places! I promise an invite next time, there will be a next time I'm sure!

Okay I'm done. I LOVED IT! Way more then first three. Surprise? Me too. Maybe it's because she did such a great job living up to my expectations. I mean, really, if it would have ended any other way I would have been seriously PO'd. Anyway. I have no desire to re-read it .. my mom's got me reading another series that you might enjoy. I'm about half way through the first book A Great and Terrible Beauty and I think you'll like it too.
